Hand crafted in France by Baccarat, designed by Baccarat's chief design authority Mathias. The name of Mille Nuits designated for this gorgeous, labor intensive, pattern is in reverence to the collection designer’s childhood exposure to the Oriental environment unique to the 1001 Tales of The Arabian Nights. The Mille Nuits design features wonderfully cut crystal that emphasizes its exceptional light scattering properties, the diffusion of light. The unique pattern design presents to the viewer a barely perceptible, vertical, clear glass, stripings (ribbons of light). Striping that starts at the rim and continues down the body of the goblet, through the diamond cut stem and is visible on the base.
