eBay Truly a rare find, is this french opaline baccarat hand painted vase on a brass ormolu dolphin stand. The work looks like it can be attributed to Jean Francois Robert, who worked for baccarat from 1843 to 1855. The painting on this piece is absolutely exquisite. Hand painted red finches and a pair of robins in addition to butterflies and numerous florals. The "V" shaped bottom is a hallmark of early baccarat. Gorgeous gilding to this piece as well. Please take the time to view all the photos and soak in the tremendous work of art that this amazing piece offers. I can't imagine how much time it took to hand paint the intricate details of the birds, butterflies and numerous varieties of florals, truly amazing Measurements: 10" overall height and 8" width (includes stand).
