eBay Large Baccarat Crystal and Gilt Bronze Perfume Urn for House of Caron "Les Fontaines Baccarat" 18.5”This is a very rare piece of French Baccarat crystal and gilt bronze ormolu perfume urn made in the early 20th century & created for the House of Caron by Baccarat. The "fountain" was created to dispense Caron's luxury fragrances and is called "Les Fontaines Baccarat". This is just a stunning piece of art by Baccarat. I originally thought it was a drink dispenser when I first got it and thought that the possibilities were endless with it. How beautiful would this look on a mantle, or even on a buffet! Whether you are a perfume bottle collector, Baccarat Collector, or just simply love and enjoy beautiful things this could be the piece for you. The only way to acquire one of these urns is to purchase one full of perfume. In 2009 one of these filled with perfume would have been around $25,000, I am unsure of the cost today. Recently one of these sold at auction empty for $10,277. It is 18.5”tall 7" wide at the middle 5" x 5" wide at the base and 10" deep in side urn. The base is acid stamped with the Baccarat logo Condition:It has a chip on the front left corner, and I am sure it could be repaired through a good restoration person. Other than that it’s perfect! All the chins and catch basin are intact spouts in perfect condition over all it’s a 9.9 out of 10 in my book other than the little chip. Seeing the trend in prices for the few that have come to market I have no reason to believe that this will lose value and belive that this will just continue to gain.
